THE CHARTERED Institute of Transport North Western section is holding a weekend course at Lancaster University from Friday September 6 to Sunday September 8. The theme is "Transport in Tomorrow's World".
The director-general for transport at the EEC, Mr R. E. M. Le Goy, will give the inaugural address on the Friday evening. Of the six papers to be delivered over the weekend three are of particular interest to road transport operators. The passenger paper will be presented by Mr R. Bennett, deputy chairman of the London Transport Board. Mr B. Warner, assistant managing director National Carriers Ltd, will present a paper or physical distribution, and Mi J. P. Wells, executive membei and immediate past chair man of the Road HaulagE Association, will present thE Road Transport paper. Othel papers deal with rail, sea an air transport.
Mr T. L. Beagley, Deput Secretary, DoE, will presen the closing address.
