KEYWAY COMMERCIALS has introduced a bakery van design which meets current standards of hygiene for the food and bakery industries and offers high security.
Its composite underframe of alloy and steel is strong — and saves weight, while sides and bulkhead made from 14.5mm (0.6in) plywood grp and the body pillars are extruded sections as are the aluminium cantrails.
A solid aluminium roof can be lined outside with pre-painted aluminium sheeting and can also be insulated.
Built within the body, the tail lift is operated electro-hydraulically from the vehicle's 12 volt or 24 volt battery system. Chain instead of cable is used to operate the lift, and the leading edge on the platform is hinged to operate as a mechanical safety lock preventing the tail lift being lowered until the leading edge on the tail-lift is moved from the vertical to the horizontal.
The tail-lift is sealed to prevent water ingress.
