THE POINT-OF-ENTRY vat payments system should be delayed for three months, the Freight Transport Association has told the Government.
It has told Treasury Minister Barney Hayhoe that companies are still not ready to make duty deferment applications in time for the scheme starting on October 1, and said that January 1 would be a more satisfactory starting date.
