"I:1000ES for Transport in the 1 Common Market" is the title of a book by Nigel S. Despicht, a principal in the International Transport Division of . the Ministry of Transport.
The book was published recently by the Lambarde Press, 95 Walton Road, Sidcup, Kent: it costs 42s, and contains 308 pages, the contents including 20 maps and diagrams.
The book is divided into three parts, the first 35 pages outlining the Common Market, European Economic Community constitutions and actions.
Part two deals with existing transport policy in the six member states in 10 u4 chapters. whilst the third section devotes a further eight chapters to the transformation towards a common policy. The preface is by Lambert Schaus, the member of the Commission of E E C with special responsibility for transport. An appendix describes a forked tariff regime in operation. There is also an index and selected list of EEC documents.
Claimed to be the only publication dealing comprehensively with the subject, this book should prove valuable to those whose duties require them to master the complex transport problems of supra national organizations. SE
