THE Birds Eye View piece (CM, November 22) headed Master is Mindless was interesting because the first time I came across the Landmaster name was in India where about the year 1959 the Hindustan Landmaster car was launched.
This was the locally made edition of the Morris Oxford which initially I think was assembled from parts imported from UK and progressively became "Indianised" in manufacture over the years.
They may still be turning them out! I wonder why Leyland didn't organise Ian Whitbread's holiday in India?
