MR R. W. Ingham-Johnson argues (CM, November 15) that the Ramblers' Association should spend less time worrying about heavy lorries and more time worrying about bulls on public footpaths.
We shall not be relaxing our efforts to curb the heavy lorry menace, but I can assure him that we are exerting every effort in an attempt to have changed the forthcoming legislation on bulls on public footpaths.
We are urging ramblers to write to their MPs and to sign a petition. If any of your readers would like further details would they please write to us at the address below.
As far as we are concerned, bulls are no more welcome than juggernauts, and we are doing everything in our power to ensure that when the walker takes to the footpath to try to escape the latter, he does not find himself face to face with the former.
