cants, Ltd., will be asked at a meeting on March 31 to approve the company's purchase of the capital of Maxima Lubricants, Ltd., and an increase in the nominal capital of United Lubricants from £100,000 to £250,000.
Mr. D. M. Glover, chairman, says that if the offer is accepted, United Lubricants and Maxima will occupy jointly the Maxima company's premises in Fulham, London, S.W.6, and the companies' tanker fleets will be pooled.
CHEAP TRAVEL PLAN
WITH the object of filling empty seats YY during off-peak hours the Bristol Omnibus Co., Ltd., are planning to introduce a cheap travel scheme. They are to ask the Western Traffic Commissioners to approve 10s. runabout tickets—half-price for children—which will cover all the company's services, and those of subsidiaries at Bath, Cheltenham and Weston-Super-Mare.
Mr. R. C. Buckley, traffic manager, said on Monday that it was proposed to operate the scheme experimentally between May and December.
