THE strike of 32 maintenance electricians at the works or Morris Commercial Cars, Ltd., at Adderley Park, Birmingham, was last week-61d recognized by the Electrical Trades Union. So far as the other seven unions involved in the dispute were concerned, it remained unofficial.
The strike is now in its fourth week and 1,500 workers at Adderley Park and 300 in other factories of the British Motor Corporation have been thrown out of work. if the strike continues, the entire Morris Commercial factory may be closed,
DIVERSION AT YORK rilVERSION signs now surround York L./ Minster to lead heavy traffic away from the immediate vicinity of the building. York City Council and the Minster authorities have agreed that heavy lorries should not be allowed in nine streets because traffic vibration has been blamed for damage to the fabric of the Minster.
