Ferries of Southampton is this A.E.C. tractive unit and B.T.C. semi-trailer (left) which is shipped twice weekly between Southampton and Cherbourg., The semi-trailer has a refrigerated body by Silverdale.

The vehicles rejoin the Thorensen ferries at Le Havre for the return trip to Southampton, and the total time taken for the round journey is 44i hours. '
