LAWLS TRANSPORT, an agricultural haulier based in Reading has sold off its assets in 600 lots at a Thimbley and Shorland auction in Reading.
The company's fleet of six vehicles sold for a total of £18,530. with a 1982 ERE C40 tractive unit, with CUMmins NT250 engine, fetching the most at £12,000.
The other older vehicles such as two ERF A-Series tractive units were sold for £7 0 0 and £380 Lvaried greatly in their price.
The six trailers made a cumulative total of £14,020 but, as expected, prices ranged widely again.
A 1979 Hoyner 9.2m twoaxle drop side bulk trailer was auctioned for £4,600, while a 1975 8.2m version went for £3,100. A 1974 York 12.2m two-axle flat trailer was sold for £900, with a 1973 York 9.2m version selling for £420.
