\V. R. BETTS has replaced its 12.2m reefer used for fruit deliveries to London with a drawbar outfit mounted on an ERE. 16-tonne rigid and Crane Fruehauf trailer with a closecoupled Contar A-frame.
This allows the prime mover, which carries 12 metric pallets in the body. to make two local deliveries while its New Covent Garden outlet unloads the longer trailer with its 16 pallets.
Boalloy built the insulated
.Fautliner bodies winch are fitted with Carrier Transcold refrigerators. The trailer has a side-mounted version.
The package also includes a VBG coupler and a 1.5-tonne Stoll cantilever tail lift on the E.RF.
The lift has modified pivot points and is mounted against the chassis side rails to maintain the 6 0 Omm Contar system's (AlOnini body gap without exceeding the overall 18in limit.
