Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Capital Transport, a Greater London Council-funded pressure group, haS stepped up an anti-one person bus campaign in response to London Buses' plan to extend 0P-C) in central and suburban London.

The campaign includes posters on routes now served or soon to be served by 0-P0 buses.

The GLC has also attacked London Buses with the publication of a 31-page booklet entitled London's ThIses — on the road.

The booklet details many alleged long-term planning mistakes by London Regional Transport and its predecessors.

It cites the failure to recog nisc the demand for night services before 1984, mistaken decisions about bus types, route curtailment and the failure to tap markets outside the rush hour as reasons for the decline in London bus services.

Among suggestions for the future is the development of -a new rugged, easy-to-maintain open platform double-deck bus to replace the Routemaster fleet.

• London Buses is to increase the marketing of more key bus routes serving tourist attractions in London. In addition to routes 15 and 15A, route 52 and 0-P-0 routes will carry extra visual information about the attractions they serve.
