PICKFORDS REMOVALS is setting up a company in Madrid to service its growing business to Spain.
Pickfords Espana starts operations on Monday next week with its own fleet of vehicles in Madrid supplemented by agents and representatives in other parts of the country.
Said Pickfords managing director Denis 011iver: "During the past two years, Pickfords has seen a 50 per cent business increase in Spain.
This is a result of more UK investment in property in Spain, and the increasing numbers of people buying a second holiday home and retiring to the country."
Pickfords also believes that the new company will assist in finding backloads from Spain to the UK, balancing the uneven traffic flow.
Pickfords Espana will handle domestic Spanish inland removals too, plus removals from Spain to other parts of Europe.
