A BBC BEDFORD van on its wa. to record "Songs of Praise" a St Nicholas Church, Kenilworth was wise in its choice of M1 a Dunstable as the place to brea the crankshaft. A BRS Rescu, vehicle was available a mile o two away to tow it to Kenilwortl to unload the recording equip ment and back to Dunstable 4pm for the fitting of a new shor engine.
By 10am next day the van wa back with the BBC crew at Kenil worth, who sang their owi songs of praise to BRS.
But even BRS Rescue woulr have been no help to the vicar o Chipping Norton, about 35 mile! away, who wanted to hold a reli gious meeting at the town hall He nearly blew a gasket wher the council refused his applica tion because the hall was no licensed for singing on Sunday.
