IN order to represent the U.K. I. aluminium industry through a single body, the Aluminium Federation has been formed to take over from The Aluminium Development Association and the Aluminium Industry Council.
One of its chief aims will be to promote and develop the use of aluminium, but it will also provide a statistical service for the industry and a technical information service for users.
Fifteen light-alloy manufacturers and three makers' associations are members of the federation. General Sir Geoffrey Bourne has been appointed directorgeneral, and Mr. J. K. Bally, secretary. The registered office is at 33 Grosvenor Street, London, W.I.
