THE redesigned Plaxton VAS luxury coach, which was introduced in modified form at the time of the 1964 Commercial Motor Show, on the Bedford VAS chassis, with a full coach specification and seating for 29 passengers in Plaxton coach seats, is proving very popular.
In the same style as the Plaxton Embassy coach, the VAS incorporates large, wrap-round interchangeable front and rear one-piece screens, with the
option of the two-piece version when desired.
Various seating plans are available from 29 passengers downwards, a popular one being 22 adjustable reclining A. W. Chapman type seats.
Recent orders include the following operators: W. Payne and Sons Ltd., Harrogate; J. Battersby and Son Ltd., Morecambe; Frames. Tours Ltd.. London; Alpha Coaches Ltd., Brighton: and the R. Armstrong Group, Newcastle.
