TRUCKING problems to the Middle East will be highlighted in a seminar being organised by the Freight Transport Association.
"Distribution to the New Middle East Markets" will focus on some of the possible answers to the headaches suffered by the transport man on this route.
Road, sea and air facets of transportation will be covered by the seminar, which is being held on May 25. Diplomatic issues, local customs, pitfalls for the exporter, market potential, insurance factors and freight handling facilities in the Middle East will also be explained.
Speakers include : M. W. Hunt (assistant secretary Department of Trade); R. V. Frost (FTA's user executive); M. J. Woodman (md of Astran Transport); D. R. Phillips (director of Eastern Liner Service); R. Smith (British Airways) and A. E. Donald (director Earnest A. Notcutt and Co).
