PRIVATE ENTERPRISE hauliers are starting theit own Datafreight system early next year, according to the Road Haulage Association.
As part of its policy of extending membership services, the RHA has bought the British Road Services Datafreight program (CM, June 7) and time on the BRS computer.
The scheme will start with user terminals at the Metropolitan and South-east, Scot. tish, and West Midland offices, with backload information being available to all members which register.
But there is no plan for an exchange of information bet. ween BRS and RHA, except i. BRS uses its RHA memhershir to gain access to the scheme.
