MINISTER OF TRANSPORT Norman Fowler is looking for a new series of vehicle registration marks for introduction in 1983. He needs -a simple and sensible system which people will find easy to remember-. It "could be used to indiciate the age of a vehicle or its make and model, its geographical area or
the name of its owner," the Minister suggests. Preferably, there should not be more than seven characters on a plate.
The problems are not to be underrated of devising a plate appropriate to Jan Przezdziecki of Penrhyndendraeth who operates a 1 954 Thornycroft Mighty Antar.
