A MAJOR consolidation of the Con
struction and Use Regulations will be presented to Parliament by Mr. Marples early next.year. A draft of his proposals has been prepared and will, I-understand, shortly be presented to interested bodies for their comments and criticisms, writes our political correspondent.
The bulk of the new measure will be to bring all the various bits and pieces together. There may, however, be one or two minor amendments, changes and relaxations. As reported in The COMmercial Motor last week, a . possible amendment covers new ways 'of measuring forward projections on artics_ But nothing new of a major nature is, at this stage, considered likely.
