Features claimed for Armourglaze epoxy underseal introduced by Lamacrest include high adhesion, low cost and high resistance to peeling, salt, petrol, oil, etc.
As well as high adhesive strength the in-built flexibility of the epoxy compound is said to make it tolerant to relatively large movements in a vehicle body without cracking. It can be applied by either brush, roller or spray and when cured gives a hard smooth surface.
Armourglaze underseal is a two-pack solvent-free coating which cures by exothermic reaction between a base resin and a solidifier. Curing time depends on temperature but at 65deg F (18deg C) it is tack free in 12 hours and hard dried in 24.
