Me. S. ,H. Bateman, the applicants' father, saidhe • had developed the siteat a. cost of . mow, and the number of caravans there had increased from 30 to 70, with people staying for periods of about three months.
Mr. Alan Bateman said he was 17 and had not taken a driving test. His brother was working 'in London; and as they had not seen each other for six weeks he did not know whether his brother still wanted to go on with the idea.
To this, Mr. T. B. Atkinson, for the railways, submitted that there was no case to answer.
Refusing the application, Mr. J. H. A. Randolph, Yorkshire Deputy Licensing Authority, said one objector was within a mile of the site and appeared to be doing the work. In any case, one of the applicants' did not appear to be a partner, so even if need had been proved he was net Sure the applicaticin ciyiddliavebeen granted..
