RITISH ROAD SERVICES made a spirited but unavailing objection to application before the Western ensing Authority, Mr. S. W. Nelson, Bristol on Monday by an independent
r'iitor. Mr. J. Keeling, of Upper Ilsway, Bath. Keeling sought to switch : vehicles from II to A. licence to give_
long-distance traffic greater flexibility. I was said that customers were being
onvenienced and had to suffer delay :ause, although the vehicles might be a, they could not be used for the :pose required as varying conditions re attached to thetn. The .average Inal earnings of the five vehicles were 500 and the .firm did not intend to k ;fresh work. .Mr. Keeling said that main object of. the application was back-load from London, Manchester, 1 other centres in the North. He conded that B.R.S. rates were "out of e" and B.R.S. were inclined to be ifferent in service.
