ALTHOUGH the Ministry of Works had offered the firm a contract in connection with the building of a school, Mr. A. Henderson, Scottish Licensing Authority, refused an application by Messrs. Michael Kerrigan and Sons, building contractors, Perth, to extend the radius of their B licence from 20 to 30 miles.
Mr. Henderson said that he could not grant the extension simply because a Government Department had offered a contract to do work outside the present limit. He would require proof that no other contractor outside the area was capable of doing the work. The B licence was renewed with the existing radius of 20 miles.
