UTSE of a removable goose-neck is said to speed front-end %–ti loading and unloading of this low-loader semi-trailer recently built by King Truck Equipment Ltd. for P. Merriman (Contractors) Ltd., of Thurmaston, Leicester. It is used with ,,n Atkinson three-axle tractive unit for the movement of plant and site equipment.

Of 45 tons capacity, the semi-trailer is equipped with tandem axles carrying 12.00-20 14-ply tyres in twin formation. Braking is by twin-line air-pressure, with cam-operated units.

The floor is of 2i in. hardwood, laid within the frame; he platform height is 12 in, and width is 8 ft. 2 in.—with extension brackets this can be increased.
