First London-to-Brighton Run in May
RINCE the first of this month, three 1.-.7 organizations concerned with the preservation of commercial vehicles have merged into one body. These are the Historie Commercial Vehicle Club. whose title is being retained, the Vintage Passenger Vehicle Society and the London Vintage Taxi Club. The H.C.V.C., whose -president is Lord Montagu of Beaulieu, will now cater for every respect of commercial vehicle preservation. Schemes are in hand for a permanent vehicle museum.

The first public event organized by the new joint club will be a London-toBrighton run by historic commercial vehicles on May 13. Entrants will leave the Museum of British Transport, Clapham, at 9.15 a.m., heading for Brighton via Colliers Wood, Sutton and Reigate before .joining A23, the Brighton Road.
