DECAUSE the Transport Tribunal had 1-0 still not given their reasons in the successful Securicor, Ltd., appeals, the Master of the Roils, Lord Denning, agreed last Monday to postpone the hearing of .appeals by Security Express, Ltd., until next term.
The Appeal Court was due to hear two appeals by Security Express last month, and they agreed to postpone the hearing for three weeks in the hope that the reasons would be made known.
When Mr. C. R. Beddingtori, for Security Express, told the Lords of Appeal that the reasons were still not forthcoming Lord Denning remarked: " Are they still so busy?"
Mr. Beddington went on to say that a letter sent to the Tribunal informing it of the adjournment had not been replied to. Interjected Lord Denning: " Weil, the people in the office must be terribly busy. too."
After being told that the appellants had now been informed by telephone that the reasons would be made known by the end of the week, Lord Denning agreed to the matter being put back in case Security Express decided, in the meantime. to withdraw their appeal.
