A SUCCESSFUL appeal against conviction was made to the Glamorgan Quarter Sessions at Cardiff, by Mr. Edward T. Rees, who was convicted by the Aberdare Stipendiary and the justices for the alleged driving, of a bus without due care and attention. Having heard the appeal, the chairman, Sir Rhys Williams, K.C., said that, on the evidence before them, they would not have convicted in this case and the appeal, therefore, was allowed, without costs.
GOUGH'S AND RHONDDA CO.
IT is announced that Rhondda Tramways Co„ Ltd., Porth (Rhondda), which inns bus services throughout the Rhondda Valleys, and elsewhere, has acquired the services operated on the Aberdare Valleys and Cardiff—North Glamorgan routes by Gough's Welsh Motorways, Ltd., Mountain Ash, Some 14 buses comprise Gough's fleet, and the company has an extensive excursions business to West and Mid Wales resorts.
