• The Bradford and District Haulage Federation has agreed to suspend until March 31 the implementation of the special surcharge on wool imports at Liverpool Docks. '
When the general 7+ per cent increase was announced last December, the hauliers said they would increase Liverpool-toBradford wool rates by 23.4 per cent. However they agreed to withhold the levy until after joint discussions and the further suspension came after a meeting with the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board, the Liverpool Master Porters and Master Stevedores Association and three members of the Federation in Liverpool recently.
