John Collins, an Australian haulier, will be giving the Institute of Transport's first Overseas Lecture in London on Monday. March 11, at 5.15 p.m., at the Institution of Civil Engineers. Mr. Collins entered his father's haulage business on leaving school and became general manager when it was incorporated as a company, M. Collins and Pty. Ltd., in 1947; he is now managing director. Mr. Collins, who has played a prominent part in Australian road haulage, was chairman of the New South Wales section. of the Institute from 1964 to 1966, is a past president of the NSW Master Carriers Association and past president of the Australian Road Federation. Among other activities, he is a member of the Advisory Council to the Australian Road Research Board.
