Addressing road hauliers at their annual dinner at Piercebridge, near Darlington, Mr. J. A. T. Hanlon, the Northern LA, urged them to face the implications of the Transport Bill together. Mr. Hanlon said that while it was not known how hard the new regulations would affect hauliers, he thought they could survive the critical period ahead if they all stood together.
