Andy Salter see the Actros claim its rightful prize for comfort and reliability.
THE MERCEDES ACTROS. relaunched by Mercedes at the beginning of the year, has fought off a strong challenge from the Iveco Eurocargo and Volvo F1116 to scoop the prestigious International Truck of the Year award for 2004.
Handing over the trophy at the RA! Commercial Vehicle Show in Amsterdam. International Truck of the Year chairman Lorenzo Raffo said the jury had been particularly impressed by Mercedes' attention to driver comfort, reliability and efficiency:"The jury has carried out in-depth testing of all the products nominated and the Actros has impressed all who have driven and operated it. The competition has been particularly tight this year."
