THE refrigerated body on the Morris

I0 in. and height of 6 ft10 in. is the same for both but the length of the forward one is 7 ft., giving 375 Cu. ft., whilst the rear is 14 ft. 10 in. long and has a capacity of 780 cu. ft.
Refrigeration equipment was installed by John S. Hall Ltd., Nottingham, and consists of a York Shipley condensing unit coupled to three coolers—two in the rear compartment and one in the forward. Electric supply is by an Onan 305CCK petrol-engined generating set mounted with the condensing unit in the Luton head and there is also provision for the use of mains supply. The equipment is designed to maintain a temperature of 28 to 32° F. in the forward compartment and 38 to 42° F. in the rear. Independent temperature control for each compartment is incorporated.
