NEW EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE • An exemption certificate has been issued under the 1984 regulations concerning packaging and labelling of dangerous substances, allowing firms carrying small packages which contain dangerous substances to avoid labelling the goods. Only goods classified as flammable, harmful of irritant are now covered.

To qualify for the exemption, firms must not transport more than 20 litres in total of the dangerous substance, and each receptacle must not contain more than five litres. The driver must also carry a written statement about the vehicle's contents.
