THE pay claim made on behalf of company bus workers was rejected by employers in London last week. It was for an advance of El per week for 100,000 employees. The six trade unions concerned will discuss future action. A claim for a similar rise for London bus drivers and conductors was rejected last month. An application for a substantial rise for municipal bus workers has been referred to a joint wages subcommittee. Last week the company employers also rejected demands for pension and sick-pay schemes and for the abolition of standing on buses with more than 56 seats. They did, however, offer to refer to a subcommittee the question of reduced working hours, but trade-union officials would not agree to this limited reference. [Country busmen in Holland who recently
