The Potteries Electric Traction Co., Ltd., who ruu extensive services of buses in the Potteries, have 'under construction a large garage and workshops in Woodhouse Street, Stoke. The garage is to accommodate more than 120 vehicles, and it is est:mated that the cost of the scheme will ultimately be well over £20,000.
In view of this development of the company's business, it is worthy of note that since their first buses were put into service in October, 1900, they have proceeded along most progressive lines, and at the present time own a fleet of vehicles which must rank anMngst one of the most efficient in the provinces. The total area to be covered by the new building is 26,900 Eq. ft., of which the bus garage will occupy 16,200 sq. ft., and the workshops 8,600 sq. ft. ; and 9,000 sq. ft. are available for future extensions. The new building will be practically fireproof.
