I N the course of an investigation into all departments of Coventry Corporation, the Organization and Methods Division of the Treasury has drawn attention to the way in which ordinary passengers are subsidizing work s services to the tune of L28,000 a year.
The Treasury says this is because of the short time each day during which the buses are used, but Mr. R. A. Feamley, general manager, considefs that the real reason for the high costs is the situation of the factories, many of which are on the outskirts of the city.
The Regional Board for Industry are to be asked once more to see what can be done to stagger factory hours and enable fewer buses to be used.
