THE editorial leader entitled "The Unfortunate

In-betweens" in your issue of January 1, 1954, states that "The British Transport Commission (Pensions of Employees) Regulations, 1953, make it possible, where purchasers are agreeable, for pension rights to be assigned with companies sold as entities." I would however draw your attention to the proviso to Regulation 7(1) of these Regulations, which reads:—

" Provided that this Regulation shall not apply in any case where the new employer is such a company as is referred to in section 4 or 5 of the Act."
