MPROVEMENTS have been made to
the transmissions of Leyland Comet ad Super Comet 16-ft. I I-in.-wheelbase mr-wheelers. The changes have tvolved replacing the two-piece ropeller shaft with a three-piece ;sembly, and this has involved moving a intermediate cross-member forward ad adding a similar member to support le second propeller-shaft mounting.
This improvement to both models tould be welcomed by operators who in these vehicles at high speeds. The ;e of three relatively short propelleraft sections with two flexibly mounted ipport bearings should do much to leviate this condition.
