• Under an agreement signed recently Redman Fisher Engineering (one of the Redman Heenan International group of companies) takes over the exclusive manufacturing and marketing of the new VC10 light vehicle-mounted crane from Hymec Engineering, of Camberley. The agreement also transfers to Redman Fisher all patent 'rights and production tooling. The VC10 crane has been designed to give users of lighter vehicles, such as the Ford Transit and Bedford CF ranges, a vehicle-mounted lifting device of a type hitherto only available to users of much heavier vehicles.
The hydraulically operated VC10 crane weighs only 1351b and can be operated by one man. It has a maximum capacity of half a ton, a maximum reach of 60in. and can be slewed continuously through 360 degrees. A feature is the provision of a standard sub-frame which can be fitted to the majority of vehicle chassis without the need for modification.
