THE Institute of Transport announces that the following have been elected to hold office during the year beginning on October 1 next:— President, Mr. T. W. Royle, C.V.O., M.13.E. Vice-presidents, Mr. V. M. Barrington-Ward, C.B.E., D.S.O., Mr. R. Davidson, Mr. S. R. Geary, 0.B.E., Brig.-Gen. Sir Osborne Mance, K.B.E., C.B.. C.M.G., D.S.O., Sir Douglas Ritchie, MC., and Mr. I. S. Wills. Honorary . treasurer, Mr. S. Kennedy. Honorary librarian, Mr, C. T. Brunner.
Past-presidents to serve on the council will be Mr. R. Kelso, Mr. I. S. Nicholl, C.B.E., Sir FrederiCk Handley Page, C.B.E., Mr. R. Stuart Pitcher, C.B.E., E.R.S.E., Sir Theodore Thomas, C.B.E., and Sir William Wood.
To fill vacancies created by the impending retirement of nine ordinary members of the council,the following have been nominated; Messrs. David Mee, M. A. Cameron, H. W. Elliott, P. M. Hill, G. Morton, A. B. MacLeod, H. Shankland, D. M.. Sinclair and J. 0. Wood. Mr. Charles F. Klapper has been nominated as an associate member.
