The Road Transport Industry Training Board is to be asked to sanction emergency grants to driver training centres to avoid essential training facilities being lost through the present financial stringency.
The Board will receive proposals to this effect at its February 17 meeting, put forward b■,t. the RT1TB's industrial and management committees. If Board approval is received, details of the scheme will be put to the Manpower Services Commission with a view to implementation Spring of this year.
