Class 3 licence 3 — from four depots id Crownfoods Ltd !orris & Jones Ltd, subsidiaries of the Food Group, went on ifter giving a 24-hour urn in support of
wage parity with private haulage drivers.
They were seeking a basic wage of £38.50 for a 40-hour week.
A spokesman for Morris & Jones told CI that although the present basic rate was much lower than that being sought, many of the drivers often came out with between #160 and £65 through overtime and bonus schemes.
