THE FIRST roll/on-roll/off vehicle ferry from the mainland of Scotland to Orkney beqan on Wednesday. A new vessel, the St Ola, leaves Scrabster at 12.00 daily.The vessel, operated by the North of Scotland Orkney and Shetland Shipping Co Ltd, leaves Stromness at 08.45. On

and Saturdays, July/August the vess make an extra return leaving Stromness at and Scrabster at 17.4 St Ola can accommoc to 90 cars or freight vi up to 4CYft long and 3 gross.
