APROMINENT feature of the jubilee celebrations of the London County Council at the County Hall, Westminster, is a display of A.R.P. and fire
fighting equipment. The appliances, which are staged on the south side of the Embankment, in front of the building, comprise Fordsons, with Sulzer pumping equipment, and Dennis and Coventry Climax trailer pumps. There is also a number of Tangye trailers.
An interesting vehicle is the Commer ambulance which has seating accommodation for 20, with additional space for six recumbent casualties.
The other ambulances are an Austin Twenty with four-stretcher body, and a Fordson fitted with a van body having equipment such as could be introduced into similar types of body in a minimum of time.
