I NCLUDED in the papers to be
presented at the 36th Congress of the International Union of Public Transport will be one by Mr. C. T. Humpidge, general manager of Sheffield Corporation transport. His subject will be " Relations between road, rail and water transport; its control and direction in the different countries since 1945 ". Other papers will cover subjectssuch as "Efforts towards the alleviation of urban traffic congestion in the last 10 years by Mr. M. E. Nielsen, of Copenhagen Tramways. and "The problem of staff and staff policy in the public transport undertakings in relation to the evolution of transport techniques ", by M. R. De .Clercq, inspector general of S.N.C.V.. Brussels. Venue of the Congress will be TelAviv, during the second fortnight in May, 19(5.
