He anticipated that this co-operation would be recognized by the committee.
Part of this co-operation is the gradual extension of one-man bus operation and, to this end, 18 AEC Swift rear-underfloorengined single-deckers have been ordered. These are to be fitted with "crush-load" bodies of similar layout to the London Transport Red Arrows with seating at the rear of a front entrance, central exit body and standing space between the doorways. The bodies are to be built by MCW Ltd.
