THE Lincolnshire Road Car Co., Ltd., and Nottingham Corporation have applied for permission to increase fares in certain cases.
if the Lincoln company's application is granted, single fares from .6d. to Is. lid, will be increased by id. and those of 2s. and over by 2d. Return fares will be increased, and 'workmen's fares will be based on the rate of times the single fare plus 1d. Workmen's weekly tickets are to be based on the rate of -0.85d. per mile for 12 journeys, and children's weekly tickets at the rate of 0.7d. per mile for 10 or 20 journeys.
The company also propose not to issue season tickets to new applicants, but existing holders would be permitted renewals.
