). G. Overseas Truck Sales ind Development — a new ompany, formed by the Dawon Group to handle the rexport of Volvo vehicles to Iritish companies operating broad— has just supplied two 110 6x4s to ARC Conblock )ubai (Private) Ltd as the first lart of a larger order for use in he Middle East.
The vehicle is designed for a ;vw of 32.5 tonnes (32 tons) vhich allows a payload of 20 onnes (19.7 tons).
A Middle East specification ncludes large 610mm (24 in) poke wheels, said to give etter tyre and brake cooling,, s well as an improved ride ver rough terrain.
Bonneted vehicles are preerred because they offer reater protection for the river in an area with a high ccident rate and they are ,ften easier to repair then orward control vehicles.
