Licensing Authority at Notting ham, last week, for permission t. operate a stage service between Not tingham and the Kirk Hallam housin estate, near Ilkeston, Barton Transpor Ltd., submitted that as it was a nes estate it could not be claimed in oppos tion that it would result in abstractio from existing services.
Objecting, the Midland GeneriOmnibus Co., Ltd., said the servic could be operated only at the expens of their existing service, and it woul be a serious matter of principleauthorize a service that was likely cause a transfer of passengers.
Granting the licence, the Authorit: Mr. J. W. Fletcher, said he felt -th need was fully justified, and that an abstraction of traffic would not b serious.
